A visit to University of Huddersfield

Today we payed a visit to University of Huddersfield in errr, Huddersfield I guess. To be honest I wasn't expecting much, as I was expecting lectures but it was entertaining this time round, maybe because we were given free food, but we did get to browse there game design department, and the work that I saw just made mine look very amateurish. I was planning on going to uni, but wasn't sure which one, and Huddersfield, definitely is on my list of uni's I will go for but probably be rejected by.

This is the group I went with. and below is a video of our introduction, don't ask me why but that's all I came out with, that's because we weren't really aloud to take any photos for some reason. But I'll forgive them, as its the only uni, or any thing that I know of that gives away sweets as well as pencils, rulers and other sorts of branded stationary.

Anyways Huddersfield has promised us at Shipley College places for there computer design courses, if we manage to meet the criteria, 280 ucas points which is a lot but doable I hope.

Election Day here?

Yes, its the first time in a while, but a general election is here, and polling stations around the country have opened.. Most polling stations have been set up in commuity centres, schools and even castles..

But my little town in Keighley, Utley had this..

But I didn't vote, I am 18, but by the time I got interested in the election it was too late...

...Ah f*ck it Britain's doomed anyways.

Comic Parody

This is my go at making a simple comic strip using Photoshop CS3. It may look simple but it ltook me 3 hours. The speech bubbles are Photoshop brushes.

Making a flipbook

Again I am obliged to post my work from Unit 67, and this time I had to create a flip book, freehand. And unfortunately I didn't have much time so it is of poor quality, ExCuSEs.
(But my teacher ensures me that it was a success)

I know its tiny but what you gonna do. Well I went through a lot of trouble to get that. I decided to photograph in each page and stick them together in Adobe Flash to finish with a animated GIF. I did this to get the best results from an other wise crappy animation.

For Unit 67 I had to plan the creation of a storyboard, and I chose MindMeister.com to create a mind map to show my plans.
