Making Iphone Icons Part1

In this unit i have to create Apple Iphone application Icons for the Iphones interactive menu, and heres my first step towards that goal. First i designed some concept images for an icon design.
Now you may notice a theme, but i have solved that with the above, Freddy and Jason.

Making a spaceship

Hello everyone, now to bore you with the unwanted instructions on how I have built my spaceship. First i made the main part of my space ship from a cylinder that a extruded to make a wing.
I then copied the plane by holding shift to cheat and make the other wing, i used other cylinders to create weapons and attached them. Sorry about the usual not funny instructive banter, but i was told to explain so i get better marks, so today i thought i would apologise and say "Lampost", don't ask why it's just for some laughs.

Helix, Going 3D

All those who follow me will understand that I always use this avatar, its just something i drew in Paint on a boring sleepless night. And since I'm learning 3D i decided i would upgrade Helix, and make him real---er.

And a few, okay a lot of hours later i finally finished, and I'm behind in work how, but it was worth it, and Helix now has a tongue, and that kind of makes you forget he's weilding a big fuc-off death scythe. For me sig i'd thought i would have a few new friends to join Helix, haven't got any names yet, but it's okay (whispers - there temporary).

Sola System "Playing God"

Hello people, because I am obliged to tell you everything theres no witty humor. Okay so iv been learing about textures and i did this by using a hotkey "M" not for McDonalds but for Menu and by clicking on the little box i selected Bitmap and imported a picture from the internet to use as a texture and then i just dragged and dropped the texture to the object.I also did a bit of messing around with lighting using spotlights to alter shadows. Now finally Ain't it cool i am pretty pround, but i wanted stars, and Chris said no.

Robot??

So we've been doing box modeling again, but a bit more advanced. We were told to design a robot, which is harder than it looks. The things I had most trouble with was welding and attaching objects to eachother, as well as getting obects close enough to actually attach them.

I have mastered extruding and variable other functions using with editable mesh. Now i know the "robot" above does not actually look like a robot but give it some time, I did rush to finish it, but it should be completed sooner or later.

Monkey Trouble

In Unit 32, we have been looking at the main types of animation, and experimenting with them. Thought we'd have ago at cut-out animation using internet templates of disembled monkey parts and world of warcraft scenery. Grant you its in black and white but its set in the 50s, and was not because there was no colour ink left. Pretty pround of this more to come but heres a taster.

Desktop Project Finaly in Photoshop

Well for unit 18 we've been designing a desktop image, first by hand, and sinse i recently have a thing with dragons i decided that would be my main theme.Firstly i had to draw 4 draft images that were suppose to be ideas, but sinse i had nothing but dragons mentally, I ended up drawing the same 4 images, and altering them slightly. I had to incorparate icon space for 20 icons and apart from the logo, fair enough, but why two student charters. Below is my final design on paper that is.From a pervious post you will notice my certain enthusiasm for the drawing tablet and i hopfully did master it as below is the dragon i drew in photoshop using the thing, and i also tried to make it 3D. The background and other affects are the work of weird brushes and colours, finaly the photos were imported and resized, the logo was liqudised and re-coloured, and hey presto finished.

Playing on the drawing tablet thingy

OMG, I'm not much of a drawer but i do love those interactive tablet things, took me a while to get used to it, and as you can see from above still not yet mastered. Even though I am terrible at drawing, even my high school planner doodles were better than that, but i decided to post this anyways for some giggles.

3D Max, I made a dragon

Well you might think that its cool but in reality it was intially suppose to be a house, as we were messing around with box modeling, and somehow it turned out that way,,,.. I mean it was totally suppose to be a dragon and I made it because I'm brilliant. Well because of my obervsely known artistic skills, I had to make another to prove the first wasn't a coincidence personally I think they look rather good togeather.
Well, because the actual lesson was to make a house, to keep the teacher happy I did a house.

Pixelation, Whatever that is.

Pixelation, now I do know what pixelation is, the title is merly a humerous attempt in drawing you in. Did it work? I admit its a bit weird, but it was a group task so there are just as guilty as me. Ahh, I love teamwork because it then gives me the right to blame the poor quailty on other people.

Creation in my hands (God help us)

Let me just say this now, stick men are not my speciality, but I give it a go anyways, God PLEASE DONT HATE ME. And yes its that bad, but i'm hoping i've accidently backed into genius.

Desktop Project Mind Map

This was part of the desktop project, which was to create a mind map to explore ideas when creating the actual image. We used a website called www.mindmeister.com

Genre collage

Ha, well I dont know quite what to say, for a desktop project, I didn't just do it for fun. But it was fun and I got my fingers sticky, it was amazing at how the teacher trusted me with scizzors, know one else does, not after that incident.

3D Max (Second Go)

Well this time we learnt about editable splines and how to Extrude 2D objects, also attaching objects for affect. And this is what i did out of it.After that i learnt the basics to animate an object using keyframes like in Flash, and combining some awesome bendy effect, eaiser to do than i thought it would be.

3D Max (First Go)

Well, what can I say, my rather amateurish go at 3D Max, learning the basics, but in my defence being my first go I think I did rather well, sort of.

Updated November 2nd
I sorry but I have to confirm that I didn't create the fricking teapot, and what's wrong with the sun, I did say it was my first go. For some reason unknown to me, in the eyes of the creators of the software 3Ds Max are under the illusion that a teapot is considered a basic 3D shape in the sense that a sphere is.
